All week this dragonfly has been teasing me. He sits long enough for me to think ‘Ah ha! photo opportunity!’ but by the time I’ve rushed to get my camera, got the cap off and played about with the focus, he’s flown off laughing. Very irksome as I was thinking what a supremely handsome fella he was and I rather fancied taking his portrait.
This morning however I got lucky. He didn’t play hard to get and stayed long enough on the orchids by the fish pool for me to take these.
Loved all your shots! They looked great! =)

Great capture – he’s beautiful and I love the intricacies of his wings. The second shot is my favourite.

Thank you! As you may have guessed, I’m smitten with the dragonflies that I see here in Bali. This red one is the new kid on the block, as I hadn’t seen a red one before. I’m so glad I was eventually able to take his/her photo. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Thank you, thank you IK. I’m so obsessed with all the bugs and critters of Bali, their colours, wings, eyes and eye wear, that I’m now longing for a super dooper macro lense so that I can get even more detail. 🙂
