It’s Saturday. I am in Jakarta, Irishman is in Bali. I like this post which is why I’m reblogging it. Actually, I LIE. I adore Bob Dylan, that’s why.

Carelessness. I lost my one true love. I started drinking. The first thing I know, I’m in a card game. Then I’m in a crap game. I wake up in a pool hall. Then this big Mexican lady drags me off the table, takes me to Philadelphia. She leaves me alone in her house, and it burns down. I wind up in Phoenix. I get a job as a Chinaman. I start working in a dime store. Then this big Mexican lady from Philadelphia comes in and burns the house down. I go down to Dallas. 1. The part when he says he doesn’t know where his creativity and songs come from: I winced when he was asked the question. It reminds me of the TED conference video (on youtube or my blog) where Elizabeth Gilbert speaks of nurturing creativity, and that highly creative people sometimes cannot pin down where they derive the creative impulse to produce a piece of work. 1. You’ve been a great ‘commenter’ on my blog this week, thank you it’s really appreciated. I’m sorry that I have been so slow in getting back to you. My internet connection has been terrible on/off, on/off then off for 3 days. I must check out the Elizabeth Gilbert youtube on your blog – sounds interesting. Maybe now that I spend time in Bali I should check it out again….

      2. I shall finish it – and I did have a laugh about Fastnet. Our internet in Bali is called ‘Speedy’ which is also a contradiction in terms. Whoever came up with that one was obviously having a right old laugh 🙂 Life here is never boring that’s for sure!
