It’s Saturday. I am in Jakarta, Irishman is in Bali. I like this post which is why I’m reblogging it. Actually, I LIE. I adore Bob Dylan, that’s why.

  1. The part when he says he doesn’t know where his creativity and songs come from: I winced when he was asked the question. It reminds me of the TED conference video (on youtube or my blog) where Elizabeth Gilbert speaks of nurturing creativity, and that highly creative people sometimes cannot pin down where they derive the creative impulse to produce a piece of work. Those kind of questions are daunting to answer, too, I suppose. Interesting vid! 🙂

    1. You’ve been a great ‘commenter’ on my blog this week, thank you it’s really appreciated. I’m sorry that I have been so slow in getting back to you. My internet connection has been terrible on/off, on/off then off for 3 days. I must check out the Elizabeth Gilbert youtube on your blog – sounds interesting. I have to confess that I only managed to read about a third of Eat,Pray,Love – not really sure why I gave up on it as everyone raves about it. Maybe now that I spend time in Bali I should check it out again….

      1. I totally understand the erratic net connection in Jakarta. Cepatnet (“Fast net”) can get really slow sometimes. Well, you’re in Bali…why not finish it for the sake of it? You’ve got the ambience to match the romance! 🙂

      2. I shall finish it – and I did have a laugh about Fastnet. Our internet in Bali is called ‘Speedy’ which is also a contradiction in terms. Whoever came up with that one was obviously having a right old laugh 🙂 Life here is never boring that’s for sure!
